Meet Suzanne

A Passion for Food, Rooted in Wishaw.

Founded during the pandemic, Cotto Via was born from owner and Head Chef Suzanne's passion for great food and her ambition to bring something special to her hometown.

A Wishaw lassie born and raised, Suzanne built her culinary career working in prestigious hotels and restaurants across Scotland and the UK, progressing from apprentice to Executive Chef.

Alongside Sous Chef Michael, whom she has mentored for over 15 years, Suzanne has built Cotto Via into an award-winning local favourite, known for freshly prepared food, generous portions and genuine hospitality.

From our open kitchen to our weekly Chef's Specials, everything we do is about bringing restaurant-quality food and a personal touch to Wishaw.

Meet Michael

From Kitchen Porter to Sous Chef.

Michael's journey with Suzanne began over 15 years ago, when he started as a young kitchen porter in one of her previous restaurants. Recognising his potential, Suzanne helped develop his skills through professional training and years of experience in the kitchen.

Today, as Cotto Via's Sous Chef, Michael works alongside Suzanne, bringing his experience, dedication and passion for great food to every dish.

A journey built on experience, teamwork and a shared love of cooking.
